Is this really free? What's the catch?

Yes, it's free. The catch: I need your honest testimony.

Who is this for?

Good fit if you're:

How long does it take?

About 4 weeks total.

Week 1: Diagnostic session – We talk through what's happening, where you're stuck, what contradictions exist.

Weeks 2-4: Realignment experiment – One focused change to test whether fixing the drift works. Concrete metrics. Clear next steps whether it succeeds or fails.

This isn't a months-long transformation program. It's a fast, focused experiment to see if this approach helps you.

What do I have to do?

Three things:

  1. Be honest in the diagnostic – Tell me what's really happening, not the sanitized version
  2. Run the experiment – Actually do the thing we agree to test (that's the whole point)
  3. Give real feedback – Tell me what worked, what didn't, and whether this was useful

That's it. I'll handle the diagnosis, experiment design, and analysis.

How It Works

What exactly will we work on?

Will you tell me exactly what to do?

No. We'll figure it out together.

I'm not a domain expert in your business. I don't know your customers, market, or technical constraints better than you do.

What I bring: a diagnostic lens to spot contradictions you're too close to see, and a framework to test whether fixing them works.

You bring: deep understanding of your business and the willingness to experiment.

What if the experiment fails?

That's useful data too.

If the experiment works: great, we've validated the approach and you have a path forward.

If it doesn't: we learn why. Maybe drift isn't your real problem. Maybe we targeted the wrong contradiction. Maybe the intervention needs adjustment.

Either way, you get clarity. That's the point of experiments.

Do we meet weekly? How does this work logistically?

However works best for you.

Typical structure:

  • Week 1: One deep diagnostic session (1-2 hours)
  • Weeks 2-4: Check-ins as needed (usually 2-3 short calls)
  • End of week 4: Debrief session

Remote or in-person. Structured meetings or async updates. We'll adapt to what serves the experiment best.

Understanding the Approach

What is "drift" exactly?

Drift is when what you say contradicts what you do.

Examples:

  • You say you're "customer-obsessed" but haven't talked to a user in months
  • You value "speed" but take weeks to make simple decisions
  • You preach "transparency" but leadership makes decisions behind closed doors
  • You're "data-driven" until data disagrees with your gut

Drift isn't failure. It's normal. Every company drifts. The question is whether you catch it early or let it compound.

What's Coherence Dynamics Theory (CDT)?

A framework for understanding how systems maintain or lose structural integrity.

Core idea: systems drift when parts stop reinforcing the same direction. This applies to code, individuals, and organizations.

I developed CDT for personal discipline systems, applied through Adaptable Discipline and shared via Self Disciplined (reaching 2,600+ monthly readers). Same principles apply to companies—just different scale.

You don't need to understand CDT to benefit from the diagnostic. It's the lens I use to spot contradictions. You just need to be willing to fix them.

Why should I trust this will work?

You shouldn't. That's why it's an experiment.
